Report lays out 400 milestones that must be reached across a variety of sectors
Governments must take further action immediately to bring global energy-related CO₂ emissions to net zero by 2050 and give the world an even chance of limiting the global temperature rise to 1.5°C this century, according to a report from the IEA. The roadmap sets out more than 400 milestones to guide all nations to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. These include—with immediate effect—no investment in new fossil fuel capacity and no further FIDs for new unabated coal plants.
