Linde and SLB partner on CCUS
The firms plan to focus on CCUS for natural gas processing, as well as hydrogen and ammonia production
Industrial gases firm Linde and oil services company SLB—formerly Schlumberger—have announced a strategic collaboration on carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) projects. The collaboration will focus on natural gas processing, as well as hydrogen and ammonia production, where CO₂ is a byproduct. “CCUS is vital in creating the decarbonised energy systems our planet needs to balance energy demand with climate objectives,” says Olivier Le Peuch, CEO of SLB. “We are excited about this collaboration with Linde to develop CCUS projects and support the growth of low-carbon energy products from conventional energy sources.” SLB’s enterprise data solution includes capabilities to screen, ass
