Aker lines up order for modular CCS system
Norwegian company signs letter of intent with European customer to supply standardised technology
Norwegian company Aker Carbon Capture has signed a letter of intent to supply two of its modular Just Catch systems to an undisclosed European customer. The systems will be deployed at a project with a total capture capacity of 200,000t/yr of CO₂. FID on the project is expected in the second quarter of 2023. “This new project is a clear testimony of our ambition to be a carbon-capture frontrunner,” says Valborg Lundegaard, CEO at Aker Carbon Capture. “Carbon capture, utilisation and storage is crucial to reduce industrial emissions and mitigate climate change.
