Chevron joins push for Asia CCUS hubs
US company reiterates commitment to CCUS as it agrees to work with major steelmakers to drive large-scale deployment in Asia
US oil and gas company Chevron has joined a consortium of major steelmakers and other industrials in a project aimed at pushing forward the development of regional CCUS hubs across Asia. The consortium plans to undertake pre-feasibility studies on large-scale projects and will explore potential applications for captured CO₂ in industrial processes, as well as seaborne and pipeline transportation of CO₂ to storage sites in Asia and Northern Australia.
