The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is putting forward new regulations designed to tackle methane emissions from new oil and gas facilities. The proposed Clean Air Act rule would aim to regulate leaks from some sources—such as intermittent vent pneumatic controllers, associated gases and well liquids unloading—for the first time.
