Department of Energy launches programme to support development of four regional demonstration hubs for direct air capture at commercial scale
The US Department of Energy (DoE) has committed $3.5bn to support the development of four regional hubs to demonstrate direct air capture (DAC) technology at commercial scale. The hubs are expected to have the potential to capture and permanently store at least 1mn t/yr of CO₂, either in geologic formations or through conversion into other products.
