RWE and Northland partner on 1.3GW German offshore wind cluster
The companies aim to complete Nordsee 2 and 3 and Delta Nordsee windfarms between 2026 and 2028
German utility RWE and Canada-based independent power producer Northland Power have announced plans to co-develop a 1.3GW cluster of three offshore wind projects in the German North Sea. The partners will set up a joint venture to develop, construct and operate the 433MW Nordsee 2, 420MW Nordsee 3 and 480MW Delta Nordsee sites. The projects will be located near the operational 332MW Nordsee 1 windfarm, owned 85pc by Northland and 15pc by RWE.
