Greenland offers green ammonia opportunity
H2Carrier and Anori aim to develop a 1.5GW wind project to supply floating production and storage of green hydrogen and ammonia
Norway’s H2Carrier and Greenland’s Anori have signed a letter of intent to develop the first commercial windfarm in Greenland, with subsequent production and export of green ammonia to international markets. The partners plan for the 1.5GW project to supply power to H2Carrier’s P2XFloater floating hydrogen and ammonia production and storage system. The platform is designed to produce 100,000–230,000t/yr of green ammonia. 1.5GW – Planned wind farm capacity “Greenland is uniquely positioned to take a leading role internationally for supply of green ammonia and, locally, a significant industrial project of this magnitude will be important to the Greenland society by way of employment op
