The US and China must present decarbonisation plans to address their rising greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions if the goals of the Paris Agreement are to be achieved, according to political leaders and environmental groups. A report by the IEA released on Tuesday showed that global emissions have rebounded strongly from a steep drop during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the resurgence being led by major economies.
