Renewables sectors form alliance to drive deployment
Associations representing sectors including green hydrogen, wind and geothermal launch unprecedented joint initiative at Cop27 in Egypt
Six global industry organisations representing green hydrogen, wind, solar, hydropower, long duration storage and geothermal have agreed to work together for the first time to accelerate the deployment of their technologies under a memorandum of understanding signed during the Cop27 climate talks this week at Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt. The Global Renewables Alliance aims to position renewable energy as a pillar of sustainable development and economic growth, particularly in the global south.
