India’s gas demand continues to rise
But increasing domestic output ought to trim LNG import requirements
Inda’s gas consumption has grown steadily over the first six months of this year, fuelled by favourable prices and an uptick in domestic production. The country used 7.65% more gas in the first six months of 2024 than it did in the same period of 2023. Domestic production increased by 6.41%, while imports jumped by a 9.14%.
