Angola's National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), acting as the national concessionaire and holder of mining rights for the prospection, exploration, appraisal, development and production of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons throughout Angola, hereby announces that eight oil blocks located in the Lower Congo and Kwanza onshore basins are available for awarding, on a direct negotiation or tender basis, resulting from the 2023 bid round process, namely:
- Blocks CON3 and CON7—90% participating interest available, for operator and non-operator position.
- Blocks KON1, KON3, KON7, KON10 and KON14—100% participating interest available, for operator and non-operator position.
- Block KON13—55% participating interest available, for operator and non-operator position.
In order to appraise the interest of other entities, pursuant to paragraphs four and five of Article 44 of Law no. 10/04 of 12 November (Petroleum Activities Law), the national concessionaire invites other interested parties to submit, within 15 days from the date of this announcement, by letter, its intention to also acquire an interest in the aforementioned blocks for both operator and non-operator positions.
