Asian gas industry group counts on rising demand
Regional industry body ANGEA remains bullish about Asia's adoption of gas and LNG, despite elevated prices and logistical challenges
The Asia Natural Gas & Energy Association (ANGEA) is “a comprehensive advocacy, policy and advisory body that represents the whole gas supply chain in Asia”, CEO Paul Everingham told Petroleum Economist at Gastech in Singapore in September. The association counts among its members major producers such as ConocoPhillips, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Woodside, Santos and Venture Global, as well as buyers including Japanese companies JERA and Japan LNG. Members also come from the manufacturing and engineering sectors, such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and another Japanese firm, JGC. Shipping is represented by Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines. ANGEA is in talks to expand its membership throughout Asia.
